I recently saw a movie about theoldest cave paintings at Chavet, France. The images created thousands of years ago were so powerful it has drawn me back to a series of paintings I did a few years ago about rock surfaces. In thes I used stencils of the human figure as if they had been painted onto the eroded rock of a cave. I used two variations of figures for this piece to depict different aspects of our humanity.
